“Ditto day” ahead

In fact, we managed a few breaks in the overcast today, without a drop of rain for most of us…yet..but that should be considered “bonus material”, because the clouds and light rain showers are going to win the night, overnight through Wednesday evening. Lows tonight? Near 35F. Highs Wednesday? Near 50F. Thursday continues to look like the transition day, where clouds clear out through the day, so sunset will be alot brighter than sunrise. Highs expected to close in on 55F. Friday continues to look spectacular, highs near 60F.

On a meteorological note, it is common in Spring (and Fall too, to a lesser degree…ie…transitional seasons), for weather systems to get bogged down, and sometimes to just sit and spin in place for days at a time. The jet stream position is in transition, moving north in Spring back into Canada, and south in Fall, towards us. As a result, weather systems that arent caught in the jet stream are relegated to trade winds or no wind at all. So, they meander, rather than move on a steady, obvious path.
