Record-tying highs Monday, colder weather to follow

What an amazing Winter it has been…alot more like a typical winter in South Jersey, than central New York. And Monday was no exception to the rule this Winter. The unofficial high (till Midnight) of 49F tied the previous record from 1991.

A cold front is coming our way, increasing the clouds towards Midnight, and bringing some light snow or flurries towards  morning, maybe a coatings-worth. That’ll end in the morning, with partly sunny skies developing by afternoon. Temps may actually fall tomorrow afternoon, so it will be much colder, with a high near 35F. Mostly clear and cold ATuesday night, near 15F. Wednesday, partly sunny, colder still, near 30F for the high. Thursday night a cold front will set off snow showers, and there may be enough wind for several inches of Lake effect Friday, but that’s a long way off and a subtle change in wind could easily put the kybosh on that, so we’ll wait and see. But at least the temp trend will be colder, for now.
