Heavy wind and falling temps coming soon…

We’re stuck in a drizzly airmass till Midnight, but a cold front will come roaring through, evidenced by heavy winds tonight (and much of Wednesday), and rapidly falling temperatures through the day tomorrow. Snow showers from both the front and off the Lake may bring a couple inches of the white stuff overnight into Wednesday morning. Rapid clearing will develeop in the afternoon for a clear and cold Wed nite. Thursday, bright to start, but fading with flurries before or by evening. That looks minor, and should be gone before daybreak Friday.

Just getting back to the wind tonight/Wed, it may exceed 35 mph in gusts, which alone is an inconvenience. Keep in mind that if it’s blowing during snow showers, brief whiteout conditions could exist, esp in Oneida and Madison Counties, which get the additional boost from the Lake.  Additionally, with wind tomorrow funnelling in colder temps, wind chills can be an issue, so in the end, it’s about more than the inconvenient wind, fyi.
