January thaw continues through next Wednesday

Even on a cool-down Sunday, it stays above averge for the time of year. Hazy and mild tonight through Saturday, with alot of high and mid level clouds, but still fair conditions. Maybe some fog at night too. Lows only down to near freezing (32F), highs Saturday around 42F. A slight chance for a brief shower Saturday evening, then fair and cooler again for Sunday. there are no storms in sight until Wednesday eve into Thursday storm, but that looks mostly or all rain. After that storm, cold winds will twist around it, over the Lakes, and bring snow showers next Friday.

On a side note: I was reading last night that for Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse (Utica/Rome do not have snow reporting stations nor are their records intact for multiple decades), this was the 3rd least snowiest October through December on record. This factoid probably doesnt come as a big surprise to you reading this now 🙂
